I have to be honest I have never been one to look through and clip coupons. I did a little when Michaela was very small but then lost interest very quickly. I never seemed to have them when I went to the store or I would lose them. Now with CouponChief.com I do not have to worry about misplacing coupons. I just go shopping on line to get Target coupons and great Best Buy deals with no clipping. Now that we have our third daughter I am learning the joys of coupon clipping once again and I have to say I have not gotten any better at it.
I am running out of time with the Advent calendar. It is so funny how we start out with the best of intentions only to be lead astray by our very day lives. Every night I sent down at my computer look over to my left and see the calendar sitting there laughing at me. The tree sitting there so pretty and finished with only one little lonely ornament to put on it. I really must get this thing finished. My hope was to have it done and it would be Lani’s tradition to do the calendar every year. The way it is looking by the time I finish it she will be old enough to put it on in her own house. Ok maybe I am exaggerating just a little.
As times are getting leaner and Christmas is getting closer it is time to start thinking about those pay day loans. I know people tend to shy away from these because of embarrassment but with the ability to get a payday loan over the internet and deposited straight into your account there is not reason for embarrassment. I have to say when this came into my e-mail box I almost just hit forward to everyone in my address book but then I stopped and decided to look it up on snopes. I was glad I did. I, like most of you, are touched my the thought of sending one more Christmas card out in the hopes it would reach someone who has given so much for us, an American solider. I was saddened by the fact that this is simply not the case. According to Snopes this “extra Christmas card” will be thrown away unopened.
If you know of a program that we could send cards to and they would actually get to a solider please let me know and I will me more than happy to post it on the site and hopefully get everyone who reads it to send out a card. During this time of the year our hearts are filling with generosity and sometimes we just do not know what to do with it. Please share you ways of giving back during this time of the year. I still have not gotten to working on the calendar. I am hoping to get alot of it done this weekend. I hope I am not scrambling each day to make an ornament to put on the tree each day of December. I have 1 made and 1 in the process of being made. As I make them I will post a picture of each one and tell you want I used to make it. Wish me luck.
