The thought of dropping $40 for a costume is just too much for me.  I mean come on, for something they are going to wear once?  Twice, if you are lucky and your child gets to wear it to school for their party but still that is just so much money.  I have been searching the net for the last week to see what I can come up with.  I did find these costumes they had some ideas I had not thought about yet and I wanted to pass them on to you.  This article even shows you  how to paint up their faces in a couple different ways.  Have a go at it.

This might be the one for us because on of the many things Lani asked to be was a fairy so this could work.

Now this is a cute idea….let you kid be a Lego.  This is a very clever idea I never thought of before but is such a part of a kids life.

I actually selected this one because of the spider.  Lani and I play spider all of the time so I thought I would give it a look and I was really surprised.  I like this one and it is very creative.  Please if you make this one let me know, I would love to see how it turned out.

I started my morning off searching for easy Halloween costumes.  Lani can not make up her mind on what she wants to be.  First it was Buzz Lightyear then the list grew from there….Bulls Eye, Princess, Pumpkin and finally ghost.  I got her a princess costume and when she saw it she said I don’t want to be that, I want to be Bulls Eye.  So I thought if I could find some pictures of costumes that might help.  I hope you like the ones I have found.

I came across these instructions on making a Buzz Lightyear costume while searching the net for a Buzz costume for my little girl.  She is a girl but she still believes she can be Buzz Lightyear and I am going to do everything I can to help her with that.  This is very cleaver so give it a look.  Maybe you can get your partner to pitch in and make this a family affair.  Click here: Buzz Lightyear You kids will think you are the coolest ever.
