Safety cutters for crafts

You have to be very careful when cutting through poster board and other materials for your craft projects.  You should always use safety cutters or safety scissors to make sure you only cut your material and not your fingers.  When using some cutting utensils you have to make sure you fingers do not slip down into the blade area.  When you go to get cutting supplies make sure you look them over well and that there is a safety feature to keep your fingers away from the blade.

new crafts

Well now that Christmas is over and I never finished the Advent calendar I guess it is one to a new craft.  Right now my online interests are keeping me busy but I hope to finish the quilt I started.  It is crazy I don’t know why I just don’t do it all I have left to do is the back and batting.  Crazy right?  I told you.

How to make a bow

Are you like me and do not exactly know how to make a beautiful bow?  Here is a video to help you figure out how to do it.  Enjoy

Dryer Sheet Wreath

OH MY GOD!!!!  This is too funny.  How to make a wreath out of dryer sheets from the trailer park.  What front door is complete without a wreath and if you get scented fabric sheets you have an instant air freshener.  You have to check this one out.

Pretzel Crafts

Check out this pretzel wreath.  Just to get you up to speed they used mini pretzels.  They glued two layers and sealed it with shellac.  This where the video picks up.  Check it out it is a very cute and inexpensive craft to make for the holidays.

Making Christmas crafts

Are you making any Christmas crafts?  Are you making a Christmas gift for someone?  Let me hear from you because as you all know by Advent calendar has been put to the side which really makes me sad but oh well.  So if you have some great craft you are in the middle, starting or just finished go ahead and share with the rest of us.  We love to see someone actually getting something done this season.

No advent calendar

Well needless to say it is now the 4th of December and I still have not done anything with the Advent calendar.  I was so motivated too, I don’t know what happened.  I guess my mind has moved on to other things like getting everything else ready for the holiday that the calendar has taken a back seat.  I will keep it out though continuing to make myself feel guilty, I am Catholic I am very good at feeling guilty.  :)

Fabric Christmas cards

Homemade Christmas cards, I believe are the best.  I am sure you have tons of scrap fabric lying around so why not turn them into beautiful Christmas cards.  With little to no money out of your pocket and a little spare time you can create cards that will mean so much more than any store bought one you can find.  Have fun and remember to share those beautiful cards with everyone.

I have to get motivated

This weekend I am so determined to work on the calendar.  I know, I know I have said it before but Saturday is December 1 and all I have is one ornament to put up and that is really sad.  I have to devote some time to this project

I am running out of time

I am running out of time with the Advent calendar.  It is so funny how we start out with the best of intentions only to be lead astray by our very day lives.  Every night I sent down at my computer look over to my left and see the calendar sitting there laughing at me.  The tree sitting there so pretty and finished with only one little lonely ornament to put on it.  I really must get this thing finished.   My hope was to have it done and it would be Lani’s tradition to do the calendar every year.  The way it is looking by the time I finish it she will be old enough to put it on in her own house.  Ok maybe I am exaggerating just a little.
