Have you heard about MBT shoes? They are a new shoe that helps you with your posture and relieves the strain on your back and hips you feel when wearing regular shoes. With the ever changing world of fashion, men’s fashion is finally starting to get a makeover.  I do not like my man to look like he has stepped out of an Abercrombie and Finch but I really like him to be fashionable and look nice.  Men like women can dress not and practical at the same time, a really nice shirt paired with a pair of dark jeans give a nice look.  I tend to favor layering because that is what my man likes to wear but you can always spice that up too.

What is more elegant then a pearl necklace?  I was looking around for Michaela a pair of black pearl earrings for Christmas but I got so side tracked by all of the beautiful pearl necklaces.  Although they are so beautiful I think that earrings are more practical for a 17 year old.  Maybe I will put one of the necklaces on my Christmas list.  I love black pearls, they are just so mysterious.  Black pearls are making a come back so get in on it before everyone you know has them and you can be the first so start the trend in your circle.

I did not realize they made cufflinks for women. I guess it would make sense we have button up shirts too but I guess I never thought about it. When I think of cufflinks I think about a gift for Dad at Christmas or groomsmen gift. How many of you out there own cufflinks? You can even buy them in the exact color of your favorite suit.

We have them, those quirky Christmas sweaters. While it is fun to have sweaters or shirts to show what holiday it is, please rest assured the people around you know what holiday it is. You do not need to wear a giant red sweater with jingle bells on it to remind them. A nice plaid skirt will give them the same warm and fuzzy holiday feeling. If grandma wants to make you something for the holiday, request a cozy scarf or hat. Those are always fashionable and you can pair them with a nice red shirt and hot jeans. A scarf or hat does not have to be packed away the day after Christmas either so you get more wear out of it.

We are now having colder weather here in Florida and we just wanted everyone to know that it is officially time to stop getting the fake tans. I love tans too but the middle of winter is not the time to look orange it just does not go with the new fall colors. You will end up looking like a leaf on a tree. So let your natural tone shine through and wait until spring before you hit those tanning booths.

Just in case anyone was wondering it is officially SCARF SEASON.  Tanya busted out the red scarf today so you can wear them freely.  We are having a little cooler weather here and it was killing Tanya seeing the red scarf hanging up in the closet.  So with our blessing it is time to give your neck a wrap even in the southern states.  Thanks Tanya for giving us the courage to wear the scarfs.

What the hell is going on at Halloween? Have you looked at some of the costumes they are putting out for our little girls now? The French Maid, the Naughty Nurse? I don’t understand what is going on with this. I have a 17 year old and there is no way she would be wearing these costumes that they are gearing towards 10-12 year olds. What amazes me is that people have to wonder what is happening with our little girls of today? From the time they are 6 or so they are looking at people like Britney Spears or Lindsey Lohan. Oh yeah, those are role models, a bad mom and a druggie. What happened to little girls wanting to be nurses or princesses or teachers? I am so sad at the state of the world when society tells our little girls that it is ok to dress trashy and that is what is expected of them. Do you know who’s fault it is? Not the company that makes the costumes but the parent that buys them. The company only makes them because they sell. If someone was not out there buying them, we would not be having this conversation.

Our children grow up fast enough, don’t you want to do everything you can to let them hold on to their innocence for as long as possible? Do you think dressing them in French Maid outfit is doing that? I hope a lot of people read this and get mad because that is what we have to do, get mad. Nothing is going to change unless we force it. Fads come and go, I am hoping that this one will go away but unfortunately something tells me it will only get worse. For all of those parents that find this as disturbing as I do, stick to your guns and don’t give in. Your child will be better for it and thank you when she grows up to be a happy, productive part of society.

Fall is here, so the long full skirts are out…. save them for next summer/spring.  Color pencil skirts are becoming a hit, and jean is super cute too, but let’s talk about the basic black, we all own, for now……

These gownsare just breath taking.  My favorite has to be the Princess Diaries.  I don’t know where I would wear a dress like this but it so pretty.  I love the color, not too many people can pull of silver but it is gorgeous.  Who wouldn’t love to own a dress made with Swarovski crystals.
