I don’t know if I told any of you yet but Matt and I are taking the girls to Thailand this summer.  What an amazing trip.  Our youngest is staying with Grammy because it would be just too much for her with the time change and the flights.  The girls are so excited so we are in the process of getting our paperwork in order.  We are even getting a new life insurance quote to make sure we have enough on the policies we have in case anything happens.  I know it is awful to think about but we do have 3 girls to take care of.  I can’t wait to see all of the material and clothes we are going to come back with.

After Michaela was so afraid to go and talk to the bank about her checking account it took me a total of five minutes to get it reactivated. She is so funny because sometimes she acts like she is going to move out tomorrow and other times she is asking me to brush her hair because it is tangled. It is so hard to think that she is going to college in a few months. She is still my baby and will always be.

According to Miss Tanya it is now time to hit those tanning beds again.  With Spring right around the corner you should start working on those tanned legs now so when the weather permits you can take our your shorts and skirts and you are ready with tanned legs.  Just be careful, nobody likes orange legs.  The best thing to do is take picture of yourself next to your friends and if you are the darkest orange out of the bunch you know it is time to give it a rest.

We are trying to figure out how long Michaela can take off of school before her insurance with us runs out. I know as long as she is a full time student she is covered but she is talking about doing volunteer work for a year after she gets out of school. I am concerned about her individual health insurance because I don’t know if she will continue to be covered under our plan. So many things happening all at once, it is really overwhelming sometimes.

With Michaela’s college plans in the works it is time to start looking for student loans. What a daunting task, there is so much information out there and so many different places to get loans from I think you need a college degree to get money to go to college. Seriously, we have to start getting all of her volunteer paperwork together so that she can apply for certain scholarships. Free money is always the best money.

We all have something we do to bring comfort to ourselves; according to Alisa Apps she sucks her thumb, what is yours?  I twist my hair and when I am tired or nervous I do it more.  When I was little I had such a bad habit of twisting my hair that I would twist it in knots and that landed me in the barber chair more than once getting my long hair cut to my ears to get the knots out.  Now I just use a lot of conditioner.

I know you got them for Christmas but don’t be ashamed post them on here proudly.  Let all of us see the wonderful yet hideous sweaters you received for Christmas.  Happy Holidays and don’t be shy post those sweaters.

I bought my Mom a new toothbrush for Christmas. She is like me; we are so scared of the dentist office that we take extra extra care of our teeth so we can keep our visits down to a minimum. I got her one of the electric ones that you can recharge so she does not have to worry about batteries and things like that. She was a little worried about using one because she has very sensitive teeth. She has to brush with the sensitive tooth paste and she says it really works. She can eat ice cream and drink coffee but she has to use is all of the time because if she runs out she really can tell the difference so she is convinced it works. I have been very lucky so far and I do not have any issues with sensitivity but my middle daughter does so she has started using the tooth paste too. She also used it when she had braces and it helped with that too.

She received her tooth brush in the mail the other day and she was so excited. She said it felt like she had just come from the dentist the first time she used it. She is also hoping that sensitive toothpaste will get in between her teeth better so that it has a chance to work better than before.

Your friends little girl asked for a horse for Christmas. Where do kids come up with this stuff? Of course they are not going to get her a horse for Christmas but they live pretty close to some riding stables and they are going to get her riding lessons. I though that was a very creative way to get out of the whole “I want a pony” thing. Her Mom bought her some cute equestrian riding apparel to put under the tree. They are of course going to give her the package with the lessons in it first because they do not want her to think that she got a horse when she starts to open all of the clothing.

My sinuses were so messed up last night I had to sleep with two pillows under my head so I could continue to breath. If I had one of those adjustable beds my night would have been a little easier. First thing this morning I was in the shower with the hot water on full blast. Oh what a miserable night, I hope tonight is better.
